Loved You Best

So this is where we part, My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on, I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.
There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this… I loved you best.

Dicky, Top 20  Dicky, Top 20
The 2008 National Specialty was a week to remember. Two of my dogs Nolan and Bizzy were in the top twenty. The theme for this prestigious event was after five attire with a western flare, since the show was at a Buffalo Ranch in Texas. At the last minute I came up with this outfit. The hat and shirt was in Dick’s western collection of clothing. With some feminine additions I had an outfit. At home I wanted to remember this event with my dear Dicky who stole the hearts of people, showed like the star she was winning top honors in the Sweeps.

I am holding this beautiful ribbon won for being the breeder of my sweet girl Dicky.
